Description

Eric Williams was always the black sheep in his family as well as a bully in school. He later got into petty crime when he got older and moved up in the organized crime syndicates, but in the end even the mob didn't fit Eric's destructive urges, and so he wanted to move on to something bigger. HYDRA took a interest in Eric's skills and saw potential in him. He was then recruited into Baron Wolfgang von Strucker's cell of the organization where he underwent a number of experiments mainly the application of a stolen Asgardian scythe gauntlet on his right arm. From then on, he took on the name of the Grim Reaper to symbolize his newfound power at his disposal. He then went on to serve Baron Strucker as his top enforcer within the ranks of the Miracle Project, but chose to save his own skin and escaped when the Avengers raided the HYDRA facility in Sokovia.
